PDD lineman dies after falling from electric pole in Budgam | KNO

Budgam, Mar 21 (KNO): A 35-year-old lineman of Power Development Department (PDD) and a father of five daughters lost his life after falling from an electric pole while repairing a High Tension (HT) line at Magam area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district. An official told the news agency—Kashmir news Observer (KNO) said that the incident occurred during routine maintenance work, resulting in severe injuries to the lineman. After the accident, the lineman was immediately rushed to Magam Hospital where from he was referred to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as Farooq Ahmad Wani, son of Ghulam Ahmad Wani of Hazarpora Aripanthan Budgam. Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started further investigation in this regard—(KNO)
